The Songs

“We extend our deepest gratitude to: Mr. G.D Sasongko and the entire Kertajaya family, the entire Andy Rudhess family for their strong support, prayers, and encouragement given to us all. Because of this album, we have come into existence and continue to grow to this day.”

Behind

Penyihir Jenaka.

The “Penyihir Jenaka” album is derived from the character name HamindaliD, the Jovial Wizard. In 2003, we started experimenting with writing a few songs. Aside from our activities in music competitions or festivals, we also ventured into songwriting, far from the music genres we competed in, making our songs more accessible to listeners.

We produced our first album independently from home with just basic computer equipment and a quality that might still be far from comfortable, but from here, we also began to emerge and were accepted by the Indie Band community in Surabaya.

Our song “COBA AKU” managed to take us to the finals of an Indie band competition hosted by Jawa Pos TV (JTV) in Surabaya. “Coba Aku” is a classic rock genre. The influence of hard rock music in Surabaya greatly inspired us. Although far from perfect, the song “Coba Aku” was well-received by the people of Surabaya.

The “Penyihir Jenaka” album is our debut album and perhaps also our first foray into recording, understanding sound, and arranging our musicality. It could be said that our genre might not be clear, the direction uncertain, but we definitely wanted to be a rock band.

The Albums

There are still many songs we haven't managed to record, our limited time during breaks or our busy schedules also prevented us from gathering our scattered music documents and files again. So, these are the memories and remaining data from us.
