The Name
Our band name, HamindaliD, is derived from a cartoon character in a weekly magazine called MENTARI (PUTRA HARAPAN). In the magazine, there’s a comedy section that tells the story of a Wizard who enjoys helping people in trouble with his magical abilities. HamindaliD is also known as a wizard who is funny, humorous, mischievous, and smart, much like Abunawas.
The Genre
We never quite understood what category or genre our music falls into; we simply play music happily and according to our desires. Perhaps our strong influences come from bands like Linkin Park, Saosin, Larc En Ciel, or anything else that inspires us. So, yes, we just enjoy the combination, and this is HamindaliD.
The Industry
In 2004, we began to delve into the Indie music world, never really contemplating whether we could secure a major label for ourselves. Thus, we decided to move to the capital city to try our luck with HamindaliD’s fate, and here we are, striving on our own, with or without a label to support us.
Here & Now
We never stop creating melodies, even though music is no longer our industry, not our field of work, but we are still here and producing. For us, HamindaliD is not just a band and our pleasure, but it is family. A family that has brought us to where we each are today, anchored in our respective harbors.

The Albums
There are still many songs we haven't managed to record, our limited time during breaks or our busy schedules also prevented us from gathering our scattered music documents and files again. So, these are the memories and remaining data from us.

About Us
The trio, with Panca on Bass & Vocals, felt something was amiss until we discovered a drummer named Uzair. Uzair’s drumming was very detailed and powerful, prompting us to decide to shift our music genre towards something heavier. One of the songs we tried with Uzair at that time was “HOME” by Dream Theater, and yes, we succeeded.
Thanks to that song, we also found a keyboard player named Andy. The song became even more complete and detailed with Andy’s keyboard contributions. Andy is incredibly talented and loves Dream Theater.
Andy also suggested that we participate in music festivals. Our ability to simplify Dream Theater’s complex music compositions into something digestible and pleasant to listen to often led festival judges to award us titles of champions and best player for each HamindaliD member.
In 2005, we decided to move to the capital city to try our luck in the Indonesian music industry. Although Andy couldn’t join us at that time, his spirit continued to accompany us.
We express our deepest gratitude to the entire HamindaliD family, friends, colleagues, and fans who never tire of supporting us.
